Oh Glory!

Alright-y!  As promised, I would like to explain in a little bit more detail the 3 Kingdoms of Glory:
Celestial, Terrestrial, and Telestial

First, however, I think it would be important for us to glance over 2 large events that will happen during our existence: Resurrection and Judgement.

As we learn in both the Bible and the Book of Mormon, "there is a time appointed that ALL shall rise from the dead" (Alma 40:5), wicked or righteous, the gift of the Resurrection is a free gift to us through the Atonement of Jesus Christ.  He broke the bands of death.

And then that day that we will all anticipate with either joy or fear: JUDGEMENT DAY.
"...for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and ever tongue confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God"  (Romans 14:10-12).

That is right!  We won't walk up and be condemned, rather we get the opportunity to give an accounting of our life--desires and doings--to the Being who knows all anyway. The prophet Alma in the Book of Mormon paints a pretty good picture in Alma 5:16-24 (click the link to read all)!

Finally, after this great day when we are brought to stand before our Father,
we will be received into a Kingdom of Glory to dwell for eternity.

If we do all that we can to follow the Savior--we accept and live His Gospel and commandments--then we will inherit a place with Him in the Celestial Kingdom.

This is where our Heavenly Father lives. This is where Jesus Christ lives.
This is where I want to be :)

If we do not accept the Savior and His Gospel but live honorable lives, we will get to live in the Terrestrial Kingdom.

Those who are unrepentant will still receive a little bit of glory in the Telestial Kingdom.

1 Corinthans 15:40-42 "There are also celestial bodies and bodies terrestrial, and bodies telestial; but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another; and the telestial, another

There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.

So also is the resurrection of the dead."
