2nd Day of Christmas

"Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it holy" (Exodus 20:8).

What a blessing this commandment has been in my life!

The Lord has asked us to take one day out of our week and spend it in devotion to Him.

Lately, this Sacred DAY has turned into sacred HOURS for some people and in many cases has become non-existent.

"And that thou mayest more fully keep thyself unspotted from the world, thou shalt go to the house of prayer and offer up thy sacraments upon my holy day;

For verily this is a day appointed unto you to rest from your labors, and to pay thy devotions unto the Most High... remember that on this, the Lord’s day, thou shalt offer thine oblations and thy sacraments unto the Most High... Verily I say, that inasmuch as ye do this, the fulness of the earth is yours, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air, and that which climbeth upon the trees and walketh upon the earth;"

I testify that these promises are real. That we will remain "unspotted" from the world as we take the time to worship on the Sabbath day. Many times, we focus so much on the world, expecting it to give us of its "fulness," but I know that it is only through devotion to our Heavenly Father that we receive "the fulness of the earth."

I grew up in a home where we were taught to keep the Sabbath DAY holy and that has made a huge difference in my life.

Will you take extra time this Sabbath to worship our Savior?
Think of Him? Worship in church?
Study your scriptures and pray?
Spend time with family?
