faith

I haven't blogged for a little while, and for that I apologize.

As many of you, I have experienced some things that I did not plan. In fact, not only did I not plan on them, I consciously made decisions to avoid the challenges that have come to me. In times like these it becomes easy to be angry at God because in my mind: "I did everything that I was supposed to!"

And yet, as I have reexamined my faith, I know that that is wrong.

"Faith is to hope for things which are not seen, but which are true (Heb. 11:1; Alma 32:21), and must be centered in Jesus Christ in order to produce salvation. To have faith is to have confidence in something or someone. The Lord has revealed Himself and His perfect character, possessing in their fulness all the attributes of love, knowledge, justice, mercy, unchangeableness, power, and every other needful thing, so as to enable the mind of man to place confidence in Him without reservation"
(Bible Dictionary:Faith).

God has promised each of us that if we "keep His commandments we shall prosper in the land."
To have faith is to hope for that promise. To have confidence that because Christ is perfect, we can expect to receive grace and love from Him as we turn to Him every day.

Each of us experiences trails and disappointment. I know that as I have had FAITH through my trials and trusted that He knows what is best, I have been much more happy. I know that you can too!
