Well y'all, the last time I wrote it was about some healing. I've had to do a lot of that lately both physically and spiritually and if there is anything that I have learned through all of this it is this:
It's true! If God asks us to do something, well we by golly should just do it and receive infinite blessings.
Here are a few examples:
The blessings I received from that mission are innumerable and I could not list them if I had 30 years to do so; I continue to receive those blessings every day! The blessing I appreciate most is this: Because I chose to follow that prompting, my Heavenly Father has not stopped guiding me. I have a deep and abiding trust that even though my plans turn out how I expect, I know that He has a plan that is greater.
As I have trusted HIS PLAN I have seen so many miracles.
Both Brother Hamblin and I have gained testimonies of paying our tithes and offerings. After discussing our personal beliefs on what our "income" was, we decided that we were going to pay it before we did anything else. And so we did!
For some reason we are ALWAYS invited over for dinner. Once a neighbor, then a sister, then an aunt, then a parent. Day after day we get people inviting us over for dinner! What a huge financial miracle/blessing sent to us because our Heavenly Father "opened the windows of Heaven."
Example #3: All of my life I have chosen to live the Law of Chastity. Sure it would have been fun to play a little bit, wear things that were provocative, give in to a little porn. But I knew that my Father in Heaven didn't want me to do it and so I remained obedient.
I now have an amazing husband sealed to me not just for this life but FOREVER! That is real. It wasn't a piece of cake for either of us to be worthy of that blessing, but IT WAS WORTH IT!
I testify that it really does. Obedience to God's laws brings peace, refuge, and pure and lasting JOY.

Example #1: "And ye shall go forth in the power of my Spirit, preaching my gospel, two by two, in my name, lifting up your voices as with the sound of a trump, declaring my word like unto angels of God."
Granted, it is not officially a commandment to women to leave our homes and preach (of course we should all do so no matter where we are), but I knew in my heart in October 2012 when the Lord lowered the age for missionaries that He was calling ME. I knew that it was a commandment for me to serve Him in Florida. Sitting in that temple that day, I knew without a doubt that my Heavenly Father and His Son Jesus Christ were proud of me. They love each of us so much! They LOVE it when we obey! Because They know it will bring us so much joy.
I testify that it really does. Obedience to God's laws brings peace, refuge, and pure and lasting JOY.
