I had a bit of an awakening yesterday. Our country is AMAZING!!! Sometimes a few of our people do dumb things and even more people get worked up over those things but the foundation of this country is pure and humble and honest. It was not founded on selfish pursuit. It was a united effort to make life better for a whole group.
Are we still doing that? Or are we trying to make life better for US?
I read the Declaration of Independence and was surprised to read that is says no country should try to abolish their government UNLESS under the more dire of circumstances. Ours is not there yet.
I have renewed hope in the American people and renewed hope for the future. I am so grateful for the men and women who fought/fight to keep us free. I hope we all remember what that means: better life for the country as a whole-not as individuals.
